Pre-K to Kindergarten

Melrose Elementary School Pre-K class consists of twenty students, one teacher and one paraprofessional. The curriculum is High/Scope, which emphasizes active learning through experiencing, and working with the resources and environment provided by a supportive and nurturing staff.

Activities are planned based on each child’s goals, needs and interests. It is a language rich program, which promotes independence, self-concept, and interaction with peers in cooperative groups.
